How it works

We make it quick to reach a deck builder who works where you live.

  1. You call or send a request

Tell us your town and what you're after: a new deck, composite boards, repairs or a replacement, new stairs or railings, or a screened porch.

  2. We connect you with a local company

Calls and requests go to an independent deck builder that serves Eau Claire and the surrounding Chippewa Valley.

  3. The company handles the job

They quote, schedule and do the work. Pricing, warranties and terms come from them directly.

What we are and aren't

Eau Claire Deck Builders is a referral service, not a contractor. We don't send crews or employ technicians, and we don't set prices. Using the site is free for homeowners.

In Wisconsin, a contractor can't take out a building permit for work on a one- or two-family home unless the business holds a Dwelling Contractor certification from the Department of Safety and Professional Services and holds or employs a certified Dwelling Contractor Qualifier. Most decks attached to a house need that permit. Ask the builder for their DSPS certification number, proof of insurance, who will pull the permit, and a written contract that lists materials, footing depth, start and finish dates and warranty terms. Ask for lien waivers when you pay.
